It's just that both 2make and 3make deliver great experiences in different aspects. Example: 2make is a lot better horror experience than 3make imo. But then again 3make is a lot more action oriented considering how running away from / fighting nemmy works or the whole dodging mechanic. Or take characters for example.
In RE2, Acid Rounds did more damage than Flame Rounds, killing black lickers in 2 hits where the Flame Rounds killed needed 3. The trade-off seemed to be that some enemies seemed to be weaker to flame rounds (Ivies), and Flame appeared to hit more targets. Now it's RE2 remake. Flame rounds definitey have a higher AoE.
