It was with the 130i. The feeling was good but the car was sporty typed, and sometime it was sporty under snow but never dangerous. Now with the 328i. I have a hell lot more of traction than the 130i it’s really impressive. I don’t know if rolling train have been improved, but it stick on snow like it was xdrive.
With proper winter tires, all BMWs can perform very well in snow. Models with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system will handle even better in a variety of wintry conditions. X-Drive only helps you move, it doesn't help with stopping. I have all-seasons with my E60 Xdrive, and it's so-so. I had snows with my previous S4, and that was spectacular. The car would go through anything. I imagine the BMW would be similar with X-Drive.
