Mazda 6 MPS Differential problems and/or solutions Hello all, On my way to visit a customer this morning I heard a sound which was like a metal object hitting the exhaust, then experienced some sharp knocks on downshifts, when accelerating the noise/knocks became louder. Most commonly caused by a bad MAP sensor. Vacuum or wiring issue are the next most common causes. Usually results in a rough running vehicle. A voltage meter is required to diagnose the MAP sensor. P0108 Symptoms: Mazda 6. P0108 is always going to do more than just trigger the check engine light. The MAP sensor is vital to a well running vehicle.
761 posts · Joined 2006. #6 · Mar 1, 2008. 30k on my MS3 2.3 w/o any problems. I know people are at 100k+ and haven't had problems, but there are people with less mileage and have had problems. I don't think there's any real statistical evidence that says the 2.3 is good or bad, but in my opinion I'd say it's just has reliable as any.
