Then I found a thread that said the AdBlue tank level doesn't reset automatically and you need to turn the ignition key-on for 30+ secs (with engine off) to reset the tank level. I tried that and it seemed to work (until last night). After the last top-off of AdBlue and Key-on reset, car ran about 5K before I got the AdBlue alarm.

My wifes 15 q7 TDI came up with a 1600km warning today which was strange as I had just put in 2.5gal (9.5L) of DEF in 3 weeks ago when she got a similiar warning I only managed to squeeze in 6L of adblue today doing the IDE04567 -reset SCR level under basic settings. Hopefully no more warnings until she goes another 15000km+.
